About the Founder
Shehryaar Awan
Founder & Analyst
I am an economics graduate and geopolitical analyst with a particular interest in political economy, international affairs, security, and regional development.
My academic background in Economics has provided me with a strong foundation in macroeconomics, econometrics, international political economy, and public policy analysis. Through this, I developed a deeper interest in understanding how states pursue political and economic objectives, manage strategic competition, and respond to an increasingly complex international environment.
My research focuses on the intersection of geopolitics, economics, and security. I am particularly interested in how political decisions, economic transformation, conflict, energy security, and technological change shape regional and global developments. While much of my work examines the Middle East, I also explore broader international trends and emerging geopolitical challenges.
Awan Geopolitics was founded to provide accessible, research-driven analysis of the political, economic, and strategic developments shaping today's world.
